Our PTO is sponsoring an Empowering Girls program for girls ages 9-12. Girls will experience insecurities - jealousy – competition – comparisons. These can manifest low self-esteem and low self-confidence. Therefore, it’s important to empower girls with confidence at this age so they are prepared for successful friendships, relationships and careers. This class helps girls recognize those qualities that make them awesome, celebrate who they are, and empower them when their self-confidence is challenged by others or by difficult situations. This interactive class is combined with music, videos and fun activities.
Girls will learn about:
- Self-confidence and tools to boost self-esteem
- Inner and outer beauty
- Body image and the media
- Role models
- Communication skills
- Gaining strength in celebrating who they are
Your fee for these classes is $40.00. (Total cost is $80; PTO is subsidizing $40 per student.)
